Krannert Center is located in Urbana on the eastern edge of the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The Center is bordered by Goodwin Avenue on the west, Gregory Avenue on the east, Oregon Street on the south, and Illinois Street on the north.

From I-74: Take the Lincoln Avenue exit. Head south on Lincoln Avenue, crossing Bradley Avenue, University Avenue, Springfield Avenue, and Green Street. Turn right on Illinois Street (one block south of Green), which borders Krannert Center on its north side, or turn right on Oregon Street (three blocks south of Green), which borders Krannert Center to the south.
From I-57: If you’re coming from the north, exit I-57 at I-74 heading east, then follow the directions from I-74. If you’re coming from the south, exit I-57 at Monticello Road. Head east on Monticello to Church Road (it’s a T-intersection) and turn left (or north). Church Road becomes Neil Street in Champaign. Turn right (or east) on Windsor Road, and then left (or north) on Lincoln Avenue. Follow Lincoln north past Florida Avenue to Oregon Street. Turn left on Oregon, which borders Krannert Center on its south side, or turn left on Illinois Street, which borders the Center on the north.
Parking
On evenings and weekends, enjoy free parking in Krannert Center’s underground parking garages. Enter the north garages off Illinois Street or the south garages off Oregon Street. Additional parking can be found on the streets around Krannert Center or in other University of Illinois parking lots along Oregon and Illinois Streets. When the Krannert Center underground garages are full, you will be directed to another parking location. Please note that Lot D8 off of Illinois Street is a University Housing lot and therefore is not available to Krannert Center patrons.
During working hours on weekdays, you can park for free for 30 minutes in designated spots in the lower south garage. There are also metered visitor spaces on both levels of the north garage. (Please note: Krannert Center garages are maintained and patrolled by the University of Illinois Division of Campus Parking and Transportation. During the work week, a permit is required to park in the garages except at metered spaces or spaces specially designated for Krannert Center Ticket Office patrons. Failure to display a permit or feed the meters will result in a parking citation, payable to the University of Illinois.)
Accessible parking spaces are available on all levels of Krannert Center’s underground garages. Four spaces (one in each garage) accommodate vans, and two others (one in Green Parking and one in Blue Parking on the south side of the building) will fit a car.
MTD
Champaign-Urbana’s Mass Transit District hosts several routes that will let you off just steps from our doors. For a weekday evening show, catch the 120 Teal or the 220 Illini for service right to the Center. Try the 50 Green, 100 Yellow, or 130 Silver to campus to enjoy a short walk before and after a performance.
On the weekend, hop on the 20 Red, 120 Teal, or 220 Illini for curb service, and the 50 Green, 100 Yellow, 130 Silver, and 270 Air Bus will drop you off just a few blocks away.
During weekdays, there are many routes that serve the Center: the 2 Red, 8 Bronze, 10 Gold, 12 Teal, and 22 Illini will bring you right to us. Other routes that travel through campus will let you alight only a few blocks away.
