ELLNORA Interval: Brasil Guitar Duo

ELLNORA | The Guitar Festival | “The maturity of musicianship and the technical virtuosity . . . is simply outstanding. . . . One would be hard put to think of a finer way to impressively enter into the world of recorded music” (Classical Guitar). After such an auspicious debut, João Luiz and Douglas Lora of the Brasil Guitar Duo followed through with their overflowing talent by claiming the top spot at the 2006 Young Concert Artists Guild International Competition. Equally comfortable in the unconventional venues of the New Music/New Places initiative, the Stowe and Chautauqua Music Festivals, and Carnegie Hall, they exude a sublime synchronicity on Bach and Scarlatti and a joyous affinity for the sambas and choros of their native country. Theirs is crossover artistry of the very highest order, and it’s irresistible!
